Freda & Joseph were married at the InterContinental San Juan Hotel, Isla Verde Puerto Rico
The day was perfect for an outdoor wedding. Before the ceremony began Joe waits for Freda in Castillo San Cristobal, Old San Juan for their first look. Freda surprised him and was evident the emotion of Joe to see Freda so elegant. We take the opportunity and take several photos around the castle and the iconic streets of Old San Juan Puerto Rico. The oceanfront ceremony was at the InterContinental San Juan Hotel in company of friends and family. Here is a summary of this beautiful day and share with you the story of Freda & Joe.

How We Met!
We met in the spring of 2011 at The Ohio State University. Our paths crossed and then we went our separate ways. In September of 2011, we met up after the Ohio State game and hung out for the first time. Our first official date was a zombie barcrawl (see pictures). Shortly after, we made it official.
The Proposal
We moved into our new house on March 27th, 2016. It had been an arduous couple of weeks packing and closing on the house. The day of the move was frenetic, stressful and tiring. To top it all off, Freda had to go back to school after two weeks of Spring Break so she was anxiously preparing to get back to the grind. She also had her fantasy baseball draft that night. All in all, it was a tiring day.
It was also an unseasonably hot day for spring. We’d opened all the windows during the move and to keep cool while we slept. Sometime after midnight the storms rolled in. Asleep in the couch, Freda woke up to the cracks of thunder and the flashes of lightning. “Joe,” she called, “can you close the windows?” The TV was on but he was nowhere to be found. Frightened and half-asleep, she heard his voice somewhere in the house. Unsure where, she wandered around an unfamiliar house, in the darkness, searching for him. Finally, she found him in the basement with the door closed, talking on the phone.
“Who are you talking to?” she asked, annoyed. It was much like the Jake from State Farm commercial. He quickly concluded his phone call and came out of the basement. Laughing as Freda nagged him, he said, “Baby, I love you so much.” Exhausted, Freda turned to head back to sleep. “You can’t distract me!” she said, “I’m going back to sleep!”
Just then, Joe took Freda’s hand. As she turned, he had dropped to one knee in their new kitchen. “Will you marry me?” he asked. “I couldn’t wait. I wanted to do it in our new house,” he said. “Of course!” Freda replied, pulling him up into a hug. “But who were you talking to?” she asked. Joe went on to explain that he’d been talking to her dad, Tom, asking his permission.
